Intro

There is going to be a new thing coming around and it is all in favor of the ones that are in need of more money and that is always good when people are talking money. This new thing still goes toward minimum wage and the one who make minimum wage. It is called a minimum wage calculator and it is made to calculate the amount of money that is need for you and your family to live and this is made to help you living standards so keep that in mind. Going very little in detail it is said in the introduction to the calculator it calculates the cost to live in the community all of your expenses and typical wages in the location that you have chose to live in. From the reading that I have done they are still working on this calculator to make it full proof and it will not be up and running just yet. This calculator has been thought and tested back in July of 2007.

I know we are supposed to use this for important work but to all this may concern this is important. As some of you know by reading my blogs I am doing my research paper and I know that we have study groups to work with but I want an honest opinion from outside of my study group or at least some extra advice. I am stuck in on that long A(word) writing assignment that Wendy assigned us. I am doing my paper over minimum wage and I do not know what else to talk about I got some information for other states comparing then to each other somebody please tell me something what should I do this is a big topic I know but sometimes with a topic so big it makes it hard to find a starting point. I want to throw some talk about living wage in there but I need a little bit more information on living wage as well. I did not think that something like this would be this hard but I guess with writers block all is possible. So if you can help me out that would be very helpful so whenever you ready just throw something out there....thanks

Lets compare

Comparing the minimum wage of Tennessee to another state my home state of Missouri, there minimum wage is has just been moved up 15 cents it was at one point 6.50 and now the new minimum wage is 6.65. This 15 cent increase just took place in the beginning of the year in January. Along with a couple of other states made this change as well. “Missouri state statute, Section 290.502.2, mandates that the Director of the Department of Labor and Industrial Relations adjust the state minimum wage according to the change in the cost of living. Published by the Department of Labor, the CPI (Consumer Price Index for Urban Wage Earners and Clerical Workers) serves as the basis for calculating the new rate.” (Amelia Figueroa, National Business Compliance Department). Missouri seems like it is the place to be right now because of the high minimum wage pay but it is written and stated that Missouri lives on a Living Wage standard which enables them to raise the prices to meet living standards if the prices rise. They can also lower the pay of the price of living falls. So you will always be on a living standards nothing more and nothing lesss.

I am going to spend the next 200 words talking about nothing. I really just wanted to see if I could drag out nothing, by talking about nothing and so far I feel strong in my abilities to talk/ type for 200 words. I know by now you are asking why am doing this but does it really matter, maybe I do not have a life or maybe it is because I am bored and I have nothing else to do. If you can not tell by now I can talk non-stop and I can talk about anything if you can not talk with me it is because I do not like you or I do not want to talk at that time but I am one the easiest person to talk to I always got something to say. I got that written on my profile on the blogger website, if you read my profile, if you have not read it yet you should, but I tell you now some of you may think different about me when you get done reading it. But the truth be told I really do not care because I went 19 years without knowing you and I can go the rest of my life. Well I am ova the 200 hundred mark so I will end this in 3…2…1...bye.

Mid terms

This is one of the craziest times of the year and I do not mean the holidays. It time for mid terms and that alone is enough to make a sane man go nuts. I am one of those people because I have about 4 finals and I have 5 classes so you can imagine how that goes for me. I am a freshman and I run track so not only am I not a vet. in the when it comes to taking mid terms and preparing for them but I am also on a time schedule so I have to force extra time in to study than that of a student that does not have to worry about track practice. Studying is not that hard the worst part is studying for the all 4 at once and not getting confused and staying focus mentally and never mixing classes when it comes to taking the test in all of your classes. I never experienced anything like this when I was in high school and when it came time to do it I could not believe it is really happening college is the truth I hurt so bad I wanna go back home I can not do this.

tennessee minimum wage

Doing more research for the topic of minimum wage I decided to take it to take a state wide approach and the research show that minimum wage in the state of Tennessee is 5.15 and this was in May of 2007 it was a 2 year long investigation that came out to be a violation of the federal Tennessee minimum wage law. Thanks to the ABC Professional Tree Service they are the ones who started the 2 year investigation from back in August of 2004 and they found all the problems with the states that are not following the minimum wage laws. There was a Fair Standard Act that made the minimum wage of 5.15 cover a 40 a week period and any time over that were entitled to be paid with the equivalence of an hour and a half for every hour work when doing overtime. As I continued to read Tennessee was not the only state that violated the Fair Standard Act there were 16 other states that also were involved in the 5.15 minimum wage outrage. The following states were: Florida, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, North Caroline, Tennessee, South Carolina, New Jersey, Cincinnati, Ohio, Virginia, Maryland and New Jersey. And they were forced to pay 1.8 million to 2,501 employees according to the US department of Law
